We’re pleased to present another episode of Behind the Bricks to provide you with the latest update of what’s been happening at The Works. Most excitingly you can see the new roads for Stage 1 taking shape! Learn more about our partnerships with some fantastic local community groups (the Illawarra International Womens Day Lunch and the Illawarra Disabled Surfers Association) which foster inclusivity and connection. Finally, you will hear from the Director of DKO Architects about what inspired the vision of the design for The Works. Opening this important site to both residents and the public has motivated them to create a unique masterplan which respects the past for all to enjoy into the future.

Legacy Property is pleased to announce the appointment of Growthbuilt as the construction partner for the highly anticipated development, The Works Corrimal. Growthbuilt is no stranger to the region having been appointed to build the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Shell Cove; St Luke’s Village, Dapto; Steelworks Hotel, Port Kembla and Kiama Village.

Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre
The Works is proud to support the Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre (BNC) in its invaluable community initiatives. This year we have been delighted to support their weekly Breakfast Club as well as their recent NAIDOC Week event celebrating the culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People in the Illawarra. We are also excited to support and be part of their upcoming Children's Week event in October. For over 40 years, BNC has served as a central hub for the community, providing a welcoming space for people to meet, share, play, learn, and grow.

In our next episode of Behind the Bricks we’re pleased to share more info on our involvement with the Ocean Queen Classic surfing event and Illawarra Women in Business Awards. We also provide a progress update on demolition works and the tender process for the main builder contract.
Behind the Bricks Episode 1
Legacy Property is proud to present our first progress video for The Works at Corrimal. Project Director Steve Ball provides an update on what’s been happening at the site including demolition works, heritage elements being retained and how we’re reusing some of the original bricks from the Coke Works.

Legacy Property recently held a Community Consultation session in Corrimal so locals could ask questions and learn more about the demolition process and the planned reuse of heritage items including the coke ovens, brick chimney and powerhouse building.
