Re-used and re-purposed original materials such as bricks and responsibly sourced new materials including timber, steel and concrete will respect the fabric and character of the original buildings and help to reduce the construction and demolition waste going to landfill by at least 60%.

The creek riparian zone will be re-established with extensive native plantings, biodiversity will be enhanced and flora protected, with a landscape buffer for the flying foxes that occasionally visit. Water Sensitive Urban Design will ensure that every drop of water will leave in a better state.
